5/5 stars for “The Court of the Dead,” the latest book in the Percy Jackson World. (I also really appreciate the typo in the B&N extra content. Publishing professionals and authors are only human haha!) Late night reads are always a good time :)

“Maine Characters” by Hannah Orenstein is the perfect book as summer winds down. This one is definitely in my top two favorites of Hannah’s books, though I love them all. She is the first adult author I read outside of schoolwork, so she’ll always be an auto-buy author to me. Highly recommend!

Agreed. It also felt a little like Belly/Conrad should be with the whole cast one last time. So, everyone’s at the house then the final scene as Belly/Conrad in the ocean after the wedding like the books. Or switching it to a proposal would have been cute too. But overall I still loved it.

I still wish we saw Steven confront Jeremiah about Lacie. But otherwise the show was everything I could have hoped for. The series’ ending in the show would have been the icing on the cake though.

Well “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is over. I have many childhood memories of reading the book series over and over again. The show 100% lives up the books, and I’ve loved watching for the past three years. (Though Jenny Han’s end note really hints at a spin-off, so I’m hoping it’s true.)
