I think in general, the culture is in a deeply evil place of being obsessed with youth, but malevolently resentful of the young, and has been for some time. It's vampiric.

The prevalence of sexualized, genital related violence by older relatives of sub-adolescents was a horrifically common thing guys would have to get off their chest at some point because it has been eating at them.

Deeply alarming how many men I've known over the years who were sexually abused by adult women in their youth and often much earlier in life than that. I think there is a real misandry aimed at the young, who adults do have structural power over, enough so that I think it's an appropriate term.

I've had to tell a psychiatrist the symptoms of schizophrenia once. Not my symptoms specifically, the basic criteria for diagnosis.

These people quite frankly deserve discussions about the legitimacy of their practices until, I don't know, maybe a solid 1/4 of them demonstrate the ability to practice anything competently.

You know what happens when they mess up like? You foot the bill. I have never met a less professional profession. There are more consummate door to door knife salesmen. There are magazine scams with more gracious refund policies.

Sadness over. I am angry. My honest advice is don't go to therapy. The science may be real, the industry is a fraud. Most psychologists I've tried are so bad at taking notes and remembering patients I've had to repeat the first session admin and inventories multiple times. As in three or four times

Medical bill payment platforms that charge you a premium to be able to pay your bills is some real heinous nonsense I'm sorry, but if you're in medicine and not seriously pushing back on this stuff, quit and go take a long walk off a short pier in whichever order you prefer.
