[ Another rift opened, for Regin to reposition out of the noulith's paths. Once he re-emerge, he began to draw void energy into the palm of his hand.

Once the void orb was large enough, Regin chucked it at his target. If it connected, that would be a fine outcome.

The spinning was to deflect the incoming needles, and he started to turn to prevent the extra needles. ]

Correct. I have an almost unnatural ability to master any weapon I pick up, but there are those certain few I excel at.

I have honed my skills with a katana over the years, to the point where I feel like it is an extension of my body.

Well it makes sense, your needles do seem to have more of an advantage when your presence is concealed.

Of course, if you catch somebody off guard with technique, well, that works too, as our previous encounter made me well aware of.
