She stole her brother's food when I stepped away for a minute and by the time I returned, she had thrown it up on the rug. So she kept running across my lap like "aren't I cute"? She knew I was mad.

Yep. I was a tween and remember asking my mom over and over why Carter wasn't at the plane with Reagan when they came home. And nobody on TV was even acknowledging it.
