For anyone curious about me, this is my current big plant project.

It's an 18x18x24 ExoTerra tropical terrarium (vivarium) for my ferns and micro-orchids, started in November 2022.

I did a deep cleaning on my mother's vacuum bc it was overheating and turning off. This fixed the problem after we cleaned all of the filters really well. So I would try that first.

But if it keeps happening, I would consider replacing bc a plug overheating can be a very concerning fire hazard.

And by unclog, I mean remove the hair that had gotten wrapped around the fixture on the inside that inevitably clogs the water.

Tub unclogged, but I broke the bathroom sink drain. 😂 the threads had corroded, and the top ring broke off. So I'll have to get a new one, I guess.

Did a deep clean on the vacuum today. Cleaned all three(?!) filters. Used an electric duster to blow off all the dust and dirt. Cleaned all the hair and carpet bits off the brush roller.

Gonna unclog the bathroom sink and tub in a second. 😐

It's wild how I used to chug pop like it was water, and now two sips from a medium fountain drink from a fast food place is just too much.

I hard-reset them, which was easy to do, and now they're fine. Lol.

In all fairness to them, we keep having random power blips where we lose electricity for a second, and it resets a bunch of our electronics.

My smart plugs for my grow lights wont let me switch times on the timer, so now I need to crawl under a table to get to them to troubleshoot whats wrong. 💀

I've been growing my Vaucheria algae for six days, so far & producing antheridia & oogonia. That means I can identify it to species level. This one was from Port Meadow.
We are beginning to suspect that they can indicate fine habitats, perhaps those of long management continuity.

Something maybe worth noting is that all the frog costumes and signs and good-natured memeing came about because a wide spectrum of Americans saw someone in direct, brave confrontation with ICE—getting pepperballed and standing their ground—and thought “that’s awesome. That person is a hero”

The dome light stand is very heavy and the little table I have my tank on is very... not stable.

If this goes terribly wrong and my glass tank full of water goes crashing to the ground, I swear to god.
