One thing I love about living so high up is not only the view of the city, but the view of the sky - and the ability to see clouds rolling in and having a sense of the coming weather.

Something I find amusing about YouTube and Insta influencers - they all start their lifestyle vlogs insisting that “my life doesn’t really look like this”…and then proceed to film “a typical day / evening in my life”.

So…you’re just admitting what we all knew anyway: this is entirely contrived.

The Canadian Thanksgiving really has a lot of connections with “Harvest Home” as celebrated in the Church of England. Britain having had a lot of influence on our development as a nation.

Many do. Some don’t observe “national” holidays as part of settler culture. There’s a difference between our Thanksgiving and yours as ours is really connected to harvest festivals celebrated in many cultures and religions and not tied to national myths about Pilgrims and relations with indigenous

Canadian Opera Company’s “Romeo et Juliette”. Grand sets and costumes and stellar vocal performances by leads
Stephen Costello and
Kseniia Proshina - though Proshina was more believable in a physical sense. Costello looked more like Juliet’s uncle than her young lover. Still, a great voice.

A year ago (on Oct 6th…I’m late!) I participated in one of the most fun, loving and absolutely wonderful weddings I’ve ever been part of. My friends @srsloaf.bsky.social and Dana were married in a ceremony I will always remember and laugh out loud about. So much joy. Happy anniversary 💜💜

Mental health is connected to physical, emotional and spiritual health, as well as to our physical environments. Supporting yourself in each of these areas is key to your overall well-being.

So take a walk. Lift. Dance. Move. Stretch.

Don’t be ashamed - countless others struggle as you do.

Seek help - even if it’s just to name it and begin talking about it with someone you trust.

Explore options - just because it wasn’t the path for someone else doesn’t mean it isn’t yours.
