Talk to Me is a 2022 Australian supernatural horror film directed by Danny and Michael Philippou in their feature directorial debuts and written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, based on a concept by Daley Pearson. It stars Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, Miranda Otto, Zoe Terakes, Chris Alosio, Marcus Johnson, and Alexandria Steffensen. The film follows a group of teenagers discovering they can contact spirits using a mysterious severed and embalmed hand.

Washington Black is a drama miniseries created by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds for the streaming service Hulu. It stars Ernest Kinglsey Jr., Eddie Karanja, Rupert Graves, Iola Evans, Edward Bluemel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Tom Ellis, and Sterling K. Brown. Adapted from the book of the same name by Esi Edugyan, the series is set in the 19th century and follows the story of a young Black inventor who travels across the world, discovering more about himself and his passion for invention.

Shock Treatment is a 1981 American musical comedy film directed by Jim Sharman, and co-written by Sharman and Richard O'Brien. It is a follow-up to the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. While not an outright sequel, the film does feature characters from the previous film, most portrayed by different actors, as well as several Rocky Horror actors in new roles.

The Twinnening was written by Kelvin Yu & directed by Ryan Mattos. Teddy takes a handyman job next door to the restaurant and finds himself trapped inside a store full of spooky antiques. A good Teddy centered Halloween episode with good animation and solidly funny material all around. Treehouse Of Horror XXXVI was written by Broti Gupta, Michael Price, & Dan Greaney and directed by Matthew Faughnan. The town is menaced by a mysterious murdering monster from out of the sewers; Krusty has a demonic special guest on his live Halloween special; Springfield's post-apocalyptic future. Another stylish and impressively put together Treehouse Of Horror episode with a good mixing of two classics in Jaws and The Blob that surprisingly mesh together really well, a great second segment with the devil played by Idris Elba....really, how can you go wrong with that?, and a great stop motion Mad Max parody done with puppetry.

We cover two weeks' worth of storylines with the news of Heat 2 moving forward at a new studio, the Tangled live-action reboot back in development at Disney with Scarlett Johansson possibly circling, yet another attempt to bring The Jetsons to the big screen this time with Jim Carrey and director Colin Trevorrow giving it a shot, Pop Culture Jeopardy! renewed for a second season over at Netflix (not Amazon this time), and looking back on the legacy of Drew Struzan as he left our world this week plus the weekend box office and recommendations.

The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special is an animated Halloween television special that aired on NBC on October 28, 2017. It stars Tom Hanks as Saturday Night Live character David S. Pumpkins.
