Had an event at an LGS and it went great. Lots of new players playing and talking deck strategy and getting some fantastic games in. We gave out promos to everyone who attended. We’ll post some gameplay from it to show some of the quick and dynamic games.

Magic has paid for this man’s house, kids and family. It has been his thing for decades and has provided him a wonderful life and even he is struggling to maintain joy with the game.

Hasbro needs to adjust course and it needs to be fast. Break those contracts if needed.

Today I’m running a @catfightmtg.bsky.social event at an LGS. Free decks to play with, giveaways, promos.

We’ll also run competitive events for those familiar with the format. Super excited!

You put Splinter at the helm and then have a colorless “baby turtle” card. It has an ability that is a combination of mutate and living wish to become any TMNT and color identity doesn’t apply to sideboard.

Why didn’t this have “this creature can’t block”? I think that’s the biggest problem with it. It’s literally the best blocker ever printed.

Maybe we get an “oooze” artifact that you sacrifice and grants mutate to creatures in your hand and they enter with a bunch of +1/+1 counters.

And then some kind of mutate payoffs. “Whenever a creature mutates, put 3 +1/+1 counters on it” or something

If you like to play it risky, this would be my MTGFinance hot pick before TMNT is revealed tomorrow. Mutate seems like a slam dunk of a mechanic to bring back and this is the best payoff with the lowest print run.
