“Damn you autoincorrect”
Musk spent 43 billion to make Twitter Right Wing. Murdoch owns US and UK mass media. Thiel and Co control antisocial media. If people were Right wing fascists they wouldn't need to spend billions trying to indoctrinate people to become selfish fascists.
And that's without considering those internationally, isn't it?
I found Twitter was better than Linkedin for professional networking. If Facebook had played its cards right, it could have been in competition with Linkedin. It already had the network of uni friends. If it had stayed with them, it could have been uni friends working professionally.
For a while I was hoping Instagram would break away from Facebook. I was really dissapointed to see that they had sold themselves out to FB. FB should not have been allowed to buy IG and WhatsApp.
It usually defaults back to what they want, if you do this. They want to control what you see, to keep influencers engaged, and to ensure that we see ads.
In my eyes discussing whether to kill one person, or three, shows a lack of forward planning and anticipation. In driving you learn to anticipate all risks, to avoid being in this situation in the first place. I see no good, coming from discussing whether to kill one, or three. It is lazy.
That requires inventing science fiction scenarios that take you even further from the reality that birthed the intuitions in the first place.

We quickly end up in the realm of "all things considered" and "all possible worlds", which is unlike the world our intuitions make sense of.

A horrific mass murder is unfolding in Sudan, where no one can see it. The RSF are murdering civilians in El Fasher, having finally defeated the Sudanese army forces holding out in the city. The BBC has managed to speak to some who escaped

It's good that it will take years. I hope that he is out of power by then, and that the project is cancelled. We are good enough at destroying the ozone with rocket launches (in theory) without adding nuclear weapons tests. I don't want to live in a Swiss bunker for years.
Trump push to restart nuclear tests could take years, cost millions, experts say
The Nevada Test Site — where the U.S. last tested a nuclear explosive more than 30 years ago — now relies on computer modeling, not physical explosions.

I read about this film when studying film history, and montage theory, but I haven't watched it yet. I have finally watched the stairs scene. Now to watch the rest.

Propaganda, if we summarise it as one word. The Manufacturing of consent, in the age of opinions as fact. In another age if someone said something erroneous it wouldn't be repeated. Today it is.
A Cold Morning Bike Ride

A Cold Morning Bike Ride
Yesterday morning I felt a little under the weather so I considered skipping the 07:00 ride. I didn't because I thought that I would regret not going, if I did not go. In the process I got to ride with the autumn/winter tyres and this time they felt less laggy than before. Two days ago, when I was ready to go for a ride I noticed that the tyre was flat.

I would argue that the US, and UK Media, have been owned and controlled by the Right for decades, including social media platforms. This is not new. Remember when Chomsky wrote Manufacturing Consent? In the US and England, people didn't learn to read between the lines, and it is costing them.
From CBS to TikTok, US media are falling to Trump’s allies. This is how democracy crumbles | Owen Jones
We’re watching the Orbánisation of the US – and as in Hungary, control of the media is key to consolidating power, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

Plagiarism, by AI companies will have a cost at last. If we were pirates when we torrented music and series, then AI companies are doing the same thing on a massive scale.
joke: hue do that. ;-). I'm teasing. I saw an opportunity for word play. I won't type anymore about this topic. ;-)
