The only thing that consoles me about bsky is that at least it's run on an open protocol similar to Mastodon which means we can just transfer our accounts elsewhere eventually while keeping everything.

It's why I'm keeping an eye on northsky so I can potentially make the switch down the line.

Alternatively, Mastodon still exists y'know? I always say this but it's a dumb idea to put all your eggs in one basket, y'all should learn to crosspost your art in as many places as you can - don't be a prisoner to a single platform like what happened with Twitter.

With all the Bluesky ToS bs going on it might be a good idea to keep an eye on Northsky just in case, uses the same tech (aka will be compatible with bsky - you can keep your followers, etc etc). It's not launched yet so I can't vouch for it but again, smart to keep an eye on it.
