I think sometimes you need to address any elephants in the room, especially if the ask is a favor or recommendation. Doesn't need to be heavy-handed, just...casually addressed so they know you aren't blind lol.

I love seasons so much, I just wrote a script about them lol. Well, the first installment which is the greatest of all: FALL. 😁

I like it though because it's so quiet. Humans may not hibernate but we sure do slow down and the quiet peace of winters fills me to the brim with undistracted creative energy. I get SO MUCH SH*T DONE in winter.

I am also quite possibly one of the only artists I know who looks forward to winter, but that's because it snows here. Winter is so different when you get snow. ❄️❄️❄️

Take the underdog approach, perhaps. Everybody loves a good underdog story. "Look at the incredible journey I've taken" is always a powerful, moving narrative.

It's like a drunken toddler tried to draw bicycle spokes from memory. And I think most artists know how well THAT would go.

They let you turn off AI content now, but some stuff still sneaks through.

In the midst of drawing four different types of bicycle wheels super up close for a couple panels, and ohmygod does AI-gen SUCK at drawing bicycles! I use image search with AI-gen images hidden, and the few that sneak through are so damn obvious, I literally burst out into gales of laughter.

I throw dried lavendar from my garden in a pillowcase in instead. Those dryer sheets are so bad for the environment. 😭 No fabric softener either for the same reasons.

I will sell my car and walk twenty miles every day before I'll sell my dryer. But I've also had an endless round of messy child to clean up after for ten years. Being dryerless while single wasn't bad. But as a parent...noooooooooo. 😭
