I have seen some old westerns where they showed black powder, cap & ball revolvers with the ramrod under the barrel. Much more involved than putting cartridges in the back.

I had one, (Repro 1851 Navy 36 cal) Fun to play with but wouldn't want to reload it in a hurry.

After commenting "Native American Heritage" I realized that some ppl will think it an insult to them. Yes, my cousins & I stole our uncles cigs & smoked them on the sly as kids. BTW, Native Americans were ritualistically smoking tobacco centuries before Europeans picked it up from them. Heritage.
