The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

My mom living near NYC, was an early adopter of avocados back in the 70’s. They mostly came from FL. I’m okay with all of them! And definitely not a millennial. 😁 Also I married a Chileño. Chile loves avocado. Visiting family in Chile is 🥑 heaven.

Seeing that a chunk of the vaccine denialists on the right used to be on the far-left, it's hard to blame anything partisan on vaccine denialism. Whole lot of screwed up thinking went into that position on both sides, though not the *same* dumb and selfish thinking.
