When I was at school (many moons ago!) my English teacher told me I wrote compelling short stories, many of which were science fiction.
I still write short stories today, but do very little with them. So, is there a market for short stories in this day and age?

#Poetry publishers, especially for short humorous rhymes, are especially hard to find, other than #vanity publishers, who seem to fall over themselves to bring you on board. However, when you are trying to survive on a UK state pension of £921 a month, that just isn't going to happen!

My, do I need a lucky break now!
The past week has taken me to the darkest of places, with awful things happening in the past few weeks.
I am trying to pay around £2000 worth of rent, rates, utility bills, food etc each month, on a £921 UK state pension. Sooner or later something is going to break.
