my FFXIV FC had a mascot competition (couldn't post this until now since it just now ended) and I got 1st place ayy.

I wrote an UNHINGED amount of lore for this little freak literally just to justify giving him short ears because I couldn't make long carbuncle ears look right lol.

an anthropomorphic teal and salmon carbuncle (sort of fox looking thing) from final fantasy with a mischievous smile holding a shining dagger up to its thumb pawpad as if it's testing the sharpness of the blade. the FFXIV meteor symbol is in the background behind it in the same salmon color as its horn. the text "pawbs" appears curving above the carbuncle's head in a rounded blackletter font. "SOFT ON THE OUTSIDE" appears below it in arial black.

With how much I use the bicycle, I've had a few crash outs in my time. Weird that I've never broken a bone that way, only ever broke a bone when someone stomped on my arm on accident

Not sure yet if my right hand is just sprained or broken from this one. It's tightening up over time

Phone is distracting enough that everyone's on mute by default, exceptions for Tannyk and project/group leaders. In Telegram, DMs are in the main list, can't miss them when I look. In Discord...👻

Btw I've asked different psych pros about the possibility of mild bipolar because this happens at least a few times a year and sounds like a classic post-hypomanic come down, but they aren't interested so whatever~

As usual after a day of feeling too good, didn't sleep much. Usually that'd be the start of a slump, but hoping to head it off by going easy on myself today. Not the end of the world if I'm not firing on all cylinders. Got so much done yesterday it doesn't really matter

I've found things always go very well without adhd meds on vacations. It's all the daily adult stuff that conflicts hard with adhd brains. It'd be nice not to need it, but this is exactly why you got it, so pop that shit!

That last one needs to be done anyway so I can set up more self-hosted services and continue ditching big tech products, so it's a win. (Progressing two projects at once is always satisfying)

First utility bill came in and uh.. yikes :O So now when I'm not studying I'll be:
* setting up motion lighting (mostly done)
* setting up temp & humidity sensors and smart plugs
* adding cat flap on utility room door so we can close it
* moving my Linux VM to Tannyk's server so I can shut off my PC
