Today, the European Commission’s proposal on a revised European Works Council Directive was approved by the European Parliament.

Once again, the EU has shown its ability to act in the interest of both workers and businesses — in a fair and balanced way.

European Parliament has approved today the Commission’s proposal for the EGF - supporting displaced workers in Belgium and Germany.

Since 2007, the EGF has provided €709 million to help more than 172,000 people in 20 countries.

They convinced me once again that our initiative “Girls GO STEM!” is essential to attract talent in EU.

My priority in this mandate will remain encouraging girls and women to pursue STEM careers.

🇪🇺🇸🇪I began my visit to Sweden with a joint site visit to Skeppsholmens folkhögskola together with Minister for Employment Johan Britz.

Here, with support from ESF+ and Erasmus+ funding, more than 250 students who left school early are gaining confidence and preparing for their future.
