When I say I really like pumpkin, this is what I mean 🎃 Our armadillos had a real gourd time carving into their pumpkin enrichment filled with buggy treats 😋

Thank you to Confreda Farms for generously donating pumpkins for our animals to enjoy again this year! 🧡

Think snakes are spooky? Think again! 🐍👻 Timber Rattlesnakes are actually silent guardians of our environment. Snakes are incredibly beneficial, helping to keep rodent populations in check and maintaining balance in their habitats.

Did you know cheetahs sleep around 12 hours a day? These diurnal cats are most active during the cooler mornings and evenings, but rest is very important for conserving their energy for high-speed hunts.

Fun fact- red pandas are not in the bear family despite having "panda" in their name. They belong to their own unique family, Ailuridae. They are distinct, with a shared ancestry with raccoons, skunks, and weasels. 😄

Meet Nermal (1 year old) & Maureen (2 years old), our two new female donkeys.

The inside of the barn will be temporarily closed as they are acclimating to their new space and fellow farm friends, but they do have outdoor access. As always, please be gentle and mindful when interacting with them!

Did you know- a common misconception about Bactrian camels is that they store water in their humps. This isn’t true, their humps actually store fat which provides them with energy when food is scarce! Camels can however use their adaptations to conserve water in other ways. ☀️🐫
