My implementation has a big if statement for each corner 😓 but smarter people than I have used bitmasking to do this. Performance is more than fine with my way so I'm happy to leave it.

Realized today that it would be kind of trivial to make the tile editor work at runtime, so I did that. Should I do a level editor or is this just a horrible distraction??? Yes!!

Uhh wow that's pretty cool! And the cassette player mode??? 🤯

lol at the ferrite-less cores!! Wow.

"Ryan are you going to patch all your game jam games on your itch page?"

Uh, look over there - a bear!

Then of course I thought, oh, I need to patch Fossil Hunters too! But wait.. it was made with Unity 5.6.7 -- arguably the best Unity version of all time 🤣

So whatever, it's safe, it was always safe. Check it out too, why don't ya:

Just patched Fire Tonight on Windows + MacOS to address the recent Unity vulnerability, which helped me remember about this game I made with Reptoid Games back in 2021! It still holds up as a great short+sweet little thing, and it's on sale for almost free.

A little rest for Shakra and Hornet

the hardest part of Silksong is deciding if I draw or play

I think indie studios wish that too, but it's hard to get dev kits right now unfortunately. I'm sure it'll come eventually!

Whatever Bazzite is shipping with, I wasn’t kidding about the quick setup - didn’t have to think about drivers. I can check tonight if you’re curious!

It's not 40 degrees celsius outside anymore, I'm drinking PSLs, kiddo is going back to school and it's ever closer to Halloween.

Hell yeah, bring on autumn!!

Haven't tried many games yet, but Visions Of Mana was running perfectly, meaning most Unreal Engine should be perfectly fine. Happy to do a quick test of something (if I have it).

I've been watching the situation, and enough people have been saying it's fine recently that I decided to try. If you're curious, now's the time to try! It was faster and easier than installing and setting up windows, pretty amazing.

Absolutely. And the worst crap has a gorgeous website, free trial with e-mail that spams the crap out of you, subscription tiers, privacy concerns, gets worse with each update, and gets bought by another company and shut down.

I feel exactly the same way! There are like, 2 or 3 other similar ones and they're objectively a little bit worse.

Working great on a desktop RTX 4070 super too, NVIDIA graphics on Linux are totally fine it seems!

Happy to say that I'm now rocking @bazzite.gg on my Desktop and Handheld PCs 😎

Exactly. Have I lost one of these? Doesn't matter. I somehow have more of them than keyboards and mice to pair them with.
ryanmiller.ca
If you answered “none” then you would be correct!! I don’t need to know the answer, I will pair it again.
ryanmiller.ca
Let’s play a game, which Unifying Receiver is this keyboard paired to?

“None” is unfortunately a possibility.

Yes thank goodness for reasonable temperatures!

I haven't listened in ages, but I recall pseudopod.org had a lot of this that was pretty good (but short).

Animations in dialog, woo! I ended up re-writing my fancy playable-mixer-animation thing and am just playing these cosmetic animations on an 'extra' layer of the regular Animator state machine.
