furthermore putting foreign matter in other peoples eyes is just never a good idea - you have no idea how their body may react! sending someone into anaphylaxis or damaging their eyes is not worth the tenuous benefit, plus protestors have had premeditation tacked on their charges for carrying milk.

the reason milk (somewhat) reduces the severity of spicy foods is specifically because they contain the protein casein, which separates capsaicin from the TRPV1 receptors in your body. it does not really translate to physical decon; especially since most tear gas does not even contain capsaicin.

how does he think a patient gets from hospital A to hospital B? someone’s got to take them there! even a BLS ground transport babysitter run is extraordinarily expensive. not to mention the delays in definitive care. it’s so backwards.

the thing is - I work as a paramedic an area where our primary resource hospital is INCREDIBLY limited on inpatient capacity, so not far off from the proposed model of just freestanding EDs. and it’s just flat out more expensive - for the system AND the patients. so this is dumb!
