Been mulling over this for month trying to find a way to draw it. It finally clicked last week.
It's a little personal story, I really wanted to get it out. Just for myself and because it's about something I love(d).

He was lil orphan Mardrid’s first friend, after she escaped some Skofos poachers. He basically pulled a “can we keep her” with his parents, and it worked

Given that the duergar had graciously removed themselves from the area, Nere found himself very alone and in no place the make demands. The only reason he wasn't immediately thrown into the lava was because Aldiirn & co needed his moonlantern. #tavqotd
