Proud to have taken the Victims and Courts Bill through its committee stage in my role as a Government Whip. The Bill will compel offenders to attend their sentencing hearing among other vital changes to put victims at the heart of the justice system.

Samantha Dixon's statement on the launch of Network North Wales that reads: “I warmly welcome today’s announcement of Network North Wales – a bold and ambitious plan to transform transport across our region. This is a hugely positive step forward for Chester and the wider Mersey-Dee area.
“Improved cross-border connectivity has been a long-standing priority, and it’s encouraging to see a clear vision backed by a practical delivery plan. This is a real opportunity to unlock Chester station’s full potential as a gateway between North Wales and the North West of England.
This is also a significant step forward for other key routes in the constituency, such as the Wrexham–Liverpool line. Planned station improvements along this route will be especially important for communities like Neston, where accessible, dependable public transport will make a real difference.
“This investment will help connect people to jobs, education, and opportunity—supporting local growth while making public transport greener and more accessible. I look forward to working with partners to make sure these plans deliver real benefits for residents in Chester North and Neston and the wider region.”
