They are just gorgeous. It has been probably close to 18 months since I fed a couple. I think we might have to have a look and see if any offers come up to do it again for Christmas presents.

So good! David got all the information he needs for this part of his assignment and I got to ask questions like how do you train a dragon to stop rushing you at the door? And how do you tell if eggs are fertilised by a male or parthenogenetic? And can we see the dragon's bedroom?

It was so cool.

Not to brag, but I did indeed get my shit together. Today I have had a shower and got dressed and got in the car to tag along to the Komodo Dragon guy chat.

A shower is usually my accomplishment for at least two days. I am killing it. (And by it, I mean my body will kill me later 😂)

Actually, that's probably not entirely true. I LOVE parrot friends in the walkthroughs in a few zoos I have been to. But I think the birds they let near the general public are less likely to rupture an eardrum. Not impossible of course, but mostly focused on bribery and corruption, not screaming.

I mean my ears still can't take it, but I'm definitely more on board with the hating red hats.

Just a reminder that many animal shelters also have a “pet food pantry” for people in need. And many food pantries will also accept pet food donations.
Some people may now need to redirect pet-food funds towards their own needs or choose to go hungry in order to ensure their pets do not.
