I don't know about disability historians, but there is a rich medical history literature on TB and how it affected people's life course. See 'Living in the Shadow of Death' (1994) or 'The White Death' (2000) 🙂

Another day, another blow to trans rights. In the UK, it is now not discriminatory to deny trans people access to shelters, gyms, restrooms, etc.

For the kind hearted people who think their are two sides to this issue, I urge you to think about the implications of rhetoric when enacted.
