Rode into the sunset last night, first ride in the dark for a while, felt like returning to an old haunt, like the darkness was a place.
The childminder's doorbell doesn't work because of the AWS outages 💩
Hearing Occam I nestled among six others felt like being led slowly to the kernel, a really enlightening way to hear this work.
Occam XXV was beautiful, I felt like a guild navigator preparing to fold space.

"Yes! What a pleasure to play and be part of a dynamic musical cybernetic process! To explore catastrophy hyper-surfaces in the relative safety and comfort of involvement with one's friends and neighbors" (Bischoff et al. 1978: 28).
Finding the balance between high connectivity and hierarchy is an ongoing challenge in working with these systems.

I think the article also makes an odd argument in that thinking often happens in the practice of note taking, they're not necessarily separate things.
The writings and liner notes of The League Of Automatic Music Composers / Hub are such a joy to read.
The funniest moment of the evening was the bizarre and accidental grandiosity of Mark Fell and Okkyung Lee entering the stage accompanied by Eno's Prophecy Theme from Lynch's Dune.
Rian Treanor and Jan Hendrickse's set was great. Feedback flute and physical model explorations.
Really looking forward to this.
For me the track Rettic AC from Chiastic Slide. I like the way the noise sounds like compacting snow as you walk through it, but on headphones it sounds like you're the snow being walked through. I like the way it's just two parts, scrunchy asmr-ish noise and a kind of horn accompaniment.
Nice choice, there's something really cosy about the scratchyness of the percussion and the warmth of the melodic synths. Haven't listened to LP5 in a couple of years, thanks for the reminder.
I couldn't get through episode 1. Went back and tried episode 2 following your and @danelaw.bsky.social's enthusiasm. Same result. Love sci-fi so would be intrigued to read what you see in it.
What's your favourite Autechre album and track?

Favourite track doesn't have to be from favourite album.

Explanations welcome but not necessary.

Happy Friday.
Are they selling off the old Existenz props?
Thanks for this, a real treat.
