It was a privilege to attend the funeral of my old friend Gordon Ross, former Mayor of Banbury and Labour Town and District Councillor today. He was always a source of solid advice and good company. Once again I send my condolences to his family on his sad passing.

It was brilliant to visit the North Oxfordshire Academy the other week, to speak to Sixth Form Politics students. I am delighted by the feedback, that the students found me approachable. I very much enjoyed my time there.

I visited the Sunrise Multicultural Project earlier today, seeing the hard work that staff and volunteers put in to run community groups throughout the week. I spoke with staff there about some of the challenges they face with their buildings, and I have promised to take action with the council.

Delighted that Oxfordshire is getting a £8.3 million investment to help people into work.

I have also noticed people in the 'Banburyshire Info' group annoyed that I haven't replied to their comments. Unfortunately, due to a complex Facebook issue (which I am trying to sort), I am not able to post directly or comment in this group. If you have an urgent issue, please email me.

I visited Cleenol this morning, where I was invited to officially open their new laboratory. Cleenol is a family-owned manufacturer of quality cleaning products with a focus on reducing waste and carbon emissions in their products. It was great to speak with staff, and offer my support.

Here is a small snippet of everything I've been working on in the past month. Lots of meeting businesses, and helping local people.

I was criticised for saying at a local hustings last year that the Conservatives were becoming a party of Climate Deniers. Now it is official policy undermining decades of cross-party consensus on the existential threat we face. A shameful policy.

Here is another clip from my contributions on the panel dedicated to farming and rural issues, alongside president of the NFU, and 3 other rural Labour MPs. It has been crucial to my work to engage with these issues as a rural MP, ensuring I am representing my constituents.

It was lovely to visit Bloxham Grove Academy yesterday, visiting students in all year groups and answering all their fantastic questions about my role as an MP. I also met with headteacher Charlotte Roberts (pictured), who gave me a tour of the school - which I was very impressed by.

It was great to speak on a farming panel, answering questions on farming and rural issues. I spoke in depth with Tom Bradshaw, the president of the NFU. I also collaborated on ideas with other rural MPs - Maya Ellis MP, Jane Kirkham MP and Jessica Asato MP. Really insightful conversations had.

I am pleased that a new Costa will be opening in Banbury Sainsbury's next month, bringing back the toilet facilities, and 8 new jobs to the area.

We said we would get our money back, we are doing it. Pleased to see this judgement, getting our money back from dodgy Covid PPE deals.

A £115,000 investment is being given to the Horton to redevelop the maternity outpatient clinic, following the Labour government allocating a £3.3 million investment to the Horton. It's great that money is going towards improving these facilities, especially given historical cuts to the service.
