As they say, it was damn well time I did something else for work - my mental AND physical health had taken too much of a beating!
Anyway, after 2 years of not touching a code library, I'm HAPPY in my job! YESSIRRR!🥳 It feels so good for my generalized anxiety, which has gone WAY down!

It's a funny feeling when, after decades of searching for my place in my tech/web career, I FINALLY end up feeling like I'm in my element. You have no idea how good I feel in my new career since I'm no longer a web developer.

C'est un drôle de feeling quand, après des décennies à me chercher dans ma carrière en tech/web, je finis par ENFIN me sentir sur mon X. Vous avez aucune idée à quel point je me sens bien dans ma nouvelle carrière depuis que je ne suis plus une développeuse web.

So, who got sick after Hackfest? 🙋 Meeeeeee! Urgh! A whole week of sinus congestion, a stuffy nose 🤧, and terrible sleep—it was absolutely awful. Conflu was terrible! My week got completely scrapped as I turned into a somnolent couch potato, fighting off a relentless headache. But hey, at least today I'm feeling way better! Better enough to drag myself out and vote in my city's municipal election.

Self-questioning, then lack of motivation, fatigue, job loss, then the job search, then losing one of my cats, then starting a new job that requires me to commute to the office...

I love being in the action in my new role, and in the action I am 😅 I really enjoy learning about the processes, the services, the types of projects, my colleagues (they're pretty funny so far! a real bunch of jokers :P).

It really bodes well for the future!

It's been two weeks (already! 🤯) since I started my new job, and damn do I love it! OK, I end up a bit K.O. on my couch in the evening (but not for long, because Hackfest is coming up, you know!!). I'm learning a lot of things, and yes my brain ends up mush in the evening, but....I really love it!
