Thank you to Governor Newsom for signing SB 27, which is critical for the effective expansion and implementation of CARE Court in California. With this legislation, more Californians will finally receive the assistance they need to fully reintegrate into society.

No one should be denied their day in court because they clicked ‘I agree’ to a streaming trial or grocery app years ago. SB 82 makes sure arbitration applies only to the contracts people actually sign, not to every future dispute corporations can dream up.

The Governor’s signature on SB 82 restores fairness and common sense to California’s justice system.

including investigations by the State Bar into illegal capping practices, and support for my bill, which is currently on the governor’s desk and allows people to sue individuals or firms who they believe have directly solicited or procured clients.

SB 576 brings some much-needed peace and quiet to California households by making sure streaming ads aren’t louder than the shows we actually want to watch.

This bill was inspired by baby Samantha and every exhausted parent who’s finally gotten a baby to sleep, only to have a blaring streaming ad undo all that hard work.

Last week CalOptima celebrated it's 30th anniversary and I was proud to honor the occasion with a resolution signed by the entire Orange County Legislative Delegation. CalOptima has been a crucial lifeline for families since 1995, and we look forward to many more years of service in our community!

Thank you, @governor.ca.gov for signing SB 42! And to @senatorumberg.bsky.social, our partners at
@cacommoncause.bsky.social and @caclean.org and everyone who fought for this critical bill. Voters will now decide in Nov 2026 whether to lift CA’s ban on public campaign financing. #CleanMoney

SB 42 gives power back to the people. With the Governor’s signature, the question of public campaign financing now goes to voters in 2026. Californians, not politicians or special interests, will decide how elections are financed in our state.

This law protects the integrity of our democracy and ensures wealthy special interests cannot undermine voter trust.
