Went thru more Ch 4 edits. Sometimes you need to take a day off for the solution to just hit you hard 😋 Also been working on my 2nd pass edit for Ch 9, shaping it up.

Been so excited with my new commission 😊 I can't talk much about my awesome characters, so I'll show them instead 😶

I was able to cram in a bit from both western and eastern forms of astrology. Somehow it worked out heavily in favor of the story, so I rolled with it (painted in a happy little accident).

So I rewatched the first Vampire Hunter D movie, & remembered nothing about it. After seeing a whip being used I looked it up & yes, Castlevania was absolutely confirmed to be inspired by the series.
Backs up the talk earlier on how many works get heavily inspired by others. It's a creative circle😊

I'm a note-taking FIEND. I do thousands of outlines as I go by chapter-to-chapter. The one time I tried to pants, it frusyrated me horribly! Writing out of order did no favors, either. I ended up outlining halfway through, too. I'm glad I at least tried it out. Now I know I hate it 😋

Sometimes it's like osmosis. I'll think I came up with a unique idea, just to realize it was something sitting in my subconsciousness for years. It's a real "oh THAT'S where that idea came from?!" 2/2

Yeah sometimes! 😅 Last year when I started my WiP, I was inspired by a ton of media I was watching/reading at the time - they all fit into the story SO well! I'll find things I want to do similar, but throw my own twist into it. I forget just how often creatives borrow ideas from inspired works. 1/2

I know what you mean about Chinese take out. I'm SoL here, cause our family spot here closed up a couple year ago 😭 They had the BEST noodles, too! 😞 Haven't found a fitting replacement, either.

Hmm I'm not sure if I'd quite call it "coming out". If anything, they do so in the form of confessions/express their feelings (not always verbal... well, kinda 😏), with a big emphasis on being honest and true to themselves. Ahh such cute scenes! ☺️
