I 100% agree. I’ve been feeling a bit ick about EA for a while actually and this has just confirmed I had every reason to feel that way. I feel so awful for all of the devs for these companies that EA owns.

My point is: be angry at The Sims team for game breaking bugs, frequency of kits and other things that are valid to be angry at them about, but not this. This is not their choice, not their fault.

There's another petition asking that the leveraged buyout of EA by the PIF and Jared Kushner not be allowed to go through! This one was started by EA's own employees (!) and can be signed by ANYONE! Please do so! It's not too late! actionnetwork.org/petitions/ma...

Maxis/The Sims team had NO choice in the buyout. None. You can thank greedy corporate overlords EA for that. The sims team are just as hurt/angry/scared/sad/betrayed as us. They’ve started a petition about it (I have signed, you should too).

A big of couple of days in the EA Creator Program…
I’m just now having a chance to start to process my feelings on the buyout.
It’s complex and I’m not sure yet what my actions will be.
BUT I am very angry at (a lot of) sims players because they are misinformed and screaming at the wrong people. 🤬
