Where Felix had gotten such a book, only he knew. But it was a tale of knights of old that felt up Ashe's alley, with a fore-edge painting on the long end of the book that drew one's attention from the simple leather binding.

Felix walks by and leaves an item on Ashe's desk without saying a word. It is simply wrapped, with a thin ribbon across the short end of it.

It is suspiciously book-shaped.

“Why would you? It’s in the past. Reminiscing about it doesn’t change the present.” The words were out of his mouth instantly, a tone of distaste lacing them.

He scowled down at his bowl, not able to quite look Byleth in the eyes. “Things were just as disfunctional then. It was simply hidden.”

His eyes narrow slightly, registering the attempt at a jest before he reacted harshly. For once.

“They had the spicy fish stew,” he admitted, knowing full well that it fell into the stereotypical meal that he tended to fall into.

“What brings you here?”

Felix looks up from his plate as the professor approached. Time changes, but it seems that title has stuck. "Fine. Sylvain's making himself useful and keeping an eye on the Boar while I take a food break."

He makes a motion for the professor to take a seat opposite him, if he wished to do so.
