The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

survey.gendercensus.com

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.
Title: Gender Census 2025.

Text: If you can't easily put yourself into just one of these two boxes, you are invited to take part.

Illustration: Two boxes, each with photos of relevant dictionary pages.

I just learnt that Semisonic’s “Closing Time” is actually about childbirth

Gave one of the toddlers a potato waffle for the first time and he called it a “chips cake”. Language acquisition is incredible!

I started cooking a few years ago. I quite enjoy it but I’m a) very meticulous so it takes ages, and b) hypermobile so my body always aches after a couple of hours of standing while cooking

It just occurred to me to buy a folding barstool so I can sit down while cooking! Absolute game changer!

Do you ever read a news article about a topic you know loads about and find a bunch of factual errors in it then wonder if every article is that inaccurate?

Oh this is the first year they have only released names given to three or more babies - in all previous years they've done all names including those only given once!

It was fun to look at the unique names but can understand that they've done this for privacy reasons.

From a first person perspective what’s it like in your head?

Me overthinking everything:

My GP said the waiting list for an ADHD assessment is currently 12-14 years

Looking forward to sorting my brain out in my 50s I guess

R and I have been bopping along to B*Witched this morning. I looked up the members to see what they were up to now and turns out twin Keavy is also a twin parent now!

Just checked to see if my work laptop had MS FrontPage (as it’s the software I used to build all my crappy childhood websites) but turns out it was discontinued in 2006. A very belated RIP 😔🪦

It’s Juniper’s adoptiversary! 8 years with us. The shelter said she was about 5 when we got her, so she’s now a teenager!
