These designs look an awful lot like the ones proposed last time. Everyone remember the name of the premier who did that?
This again?

Is it too much to ask a Minister of the Crown in Alberta to know who the Sovereign is, in whose name he serves, and to whom he has sworn allegiance?

For those in the back: He’s the King of Canada.

Screenshot of a news article in which the Minister of Service Alberta calls Charles III the “King of England,” and not the King of Canada.
Looks a LOT like the design the Redford government tried to launch in 2014, before Jim Prentice scrapped it.

We didn’t need it then and don’t now.
Hard disagree. Nenshi SHOULD be questioning the business case. Asking where the customers are? Asking where the pipeline companies are? Asking for the assurance that this won’t be a publicly funded white elephant before it’s done.

This is a fantasy pipeline, and Nenshi’s only legitimizing it.
But will folks remember this at election time?
I find this perpetually surprising. In every small town, everyone knows the teachers. They’re part of the communities. Are the conditions in those schools so different that these folks are at odds with their union? Are citizens in these places comfortable telling their friends to just suck it up?
One factor not mentioned: local media, or the relative lack thereof. The Herald isn’t even a shadow of what it was, the Sun is non-existent, and other media coverage is thin, at best. The Sprawl has been trying - and has been doing a stellar job on less than a shoestring - but it’s not enough.
The National Pest is not a serious newspaper.
It allows them to pretend they can save money by reversing the climate emergency declaration.

When the rest of us know that denial will just drive the cost higher.
From first-hand observation, many companies have been attempting to absorb the tariffs with short term measures, such as running up inventories, or passing them on as “surcharges,” hoping the tariffs were just a tactic.

But now price hikes are being rolled out to cover them.
I’m surprised the Herald actually ran that piece.
Ezra reassured him it was fine. It’s all fine.
Headline: “Ezra Levant confident ruled-up far-right mob won’t turn against Jews this time” - from TheBeaverton.com, 2017
No question. But this “choose your own zoning adventure” is completely nonsensical, even by UCP standards.
Do they know the cost? And do they know it will never be paid for?
Excellent reporting here on what SHOULD be a key electoral issue.

IMO, everyone who was part of the 2023 deal has some ‘splainin’ to do!
Calgary mayoral candidates are bickering about which arena deal was best—and who got fleeced. And an outgoing city councillor now says progressive councillors voted yes to the deal in 2023 "at great political cost." Here's how the deal got done. (Listen and/or read!) #yyccc

Campaign accusations abound. Here’s the real story.

Excellent journalism here! Thank you!
Sharpe’s selective support for public consultation (Rezoning? YES! Arena? NO!) is also embarrassingly dumb.
Was actually impressed that Cllr. Mian could say she’d changed her opinion based on new information, to explain why she voted for it. I can respect that. But most just offer embarrassing pretzel logic to justify the 60 seconds of public debate (Spencer, Sharpe, Penner).
They’re not the best of us.
Northern Albertans also say “Cal-ga-ree”.

But think all Albertans say “Emmintin” when speaking of our capital city.
I grew up saying “NEW-fund-land,” but after finally visiting I learned it’s actually pronounced “noo-fin-LANN”
👏👏👏More of this please. 👏👏👏

DS is nothing but a rage baiting sociopath, who will lead the country to destruction in service of her owners in the O&G industry.

Before another dime of public money is sent their way make them clean up their damn wells.
OF COURSE it was their intent. It’s all provocation to justify the crackdown.
