I suppose everything is a learning experience and writing a long-form comic is definitely a difficulty bump from writing one-shots for me. I hope I'll improve with time though...I can't constantly be taking years to finalize chapter scripts man 😭

A cardinal comic-making rule is to not get hung up on reworking chapters (perfect is the enemy of good), but trying to push through scripts I'm iffy about has just given me nasty burnout...I can make peace if my art or paneling isn't great but not if the actual story structure doesn't feel right ig

Rewriting the first five chapters of Cocoa comic for like...the fourth?? fifth??? time. I'm trying to cope by telling myself that once I figure out the pacing and tone I won't have to do this for every chapter going forward but...right now that just feels like a cope (or a delusion) 🫠

It ended around the time there was a huge insider scam for it where someone made off with $24 million. You can read a short blurb on it on the Wikipedia page for McDonald’s monopoly, it’s decently interesting if you like white collar true crime (as I do haha)

Final sample fact 3 is that wolves and ravens are friends. Ravens are scavengers leading wolves to prey then partake in the feast after, so they have a symbiotic relationship. But also researchers have noted ravens playing and bonding with specific wolf pups, a bond that lasts even into adulthood. 🥺

As if that weren’t amazing enough, females can select which male’s genes they want to use for their eggs, and they have a distinct preference for choosing these “crossdressers” for gene selection over the big males, so yeah, femboy cuttlefish>jock cuttlefish.
