The worst part of my experience with OCD is that it makes it impossible to move on from awful things. Whenever I was at fault or not.

Like, every time I get hit with anything emotionally it's "yeah, this is going to haunt me for the rest of my life now".

Even if Caleb would have trusted witches, they wouldn't be able to provide him with any useful clues on what happened to his brother.
Caleb was completely on his own in his search. And after years of struggle, older Wittebane even felt like it is all completely futile. He gave up the hope.

Caleb was struggling A HELL LOT in his search for Philip on the Boiling Isles. Why? Simply because Pip doesnt use his original name anymore and hides his face behind a mask most of the time.

Gladly, the nephew already got most of the important information for his mission from Belos, before the age started to show it's ugly head, clouding the corner's of the emperor's mind.

Belos is lucid and sane for now though. So they have some more time.

And I want to do a little bit of that in MCCNW-AU. Especially since Belo's curse is different and he is not a rotting human keeping himself together with the power of determination, but (almost, not really) a normal demon/witch with long life-span that reaches its end.

So, yeah, about the illustration. I remember reading someone on a TOH-server mentioning that Belos may be displaying some symptoms of dementia and I was like "hmhm"... Well, in canon the guys is like 400, so of course there is something rotting in his brain, even if not in a normal elder human way.

And just like any other witch, Belos has a sigil, that will work as intended when the judgement day comes. At least it was supposed to, but, obviously, Luz Noceda, a teenager with a book of two tragic siblings, will come and change everything.

Here, Belos is a good uncle, who cares about his round-eared nephew a whole lot. Hunter is promised to be have a really special mission in the Human Realm on the day of unity and to be prepared for it emperor personally tutors him on what it means to be a human.

If this AU was on AO3 it would have "Crack treated seriously" tag to it. And "Nya" part refers to the main change taking place - Philip's curse is being a cat boy. For real. And, perhaps, in a way, I made it worse than the original curse, because now Belos has a big appetite for human flesh...
