We don’t gatekeep the information you need to understand, care for, and take charge of your sexual and reproductive wellbeing 🙅

We’re glad to be back on here and ready to take on censorship and stigma, misinfo and disinfo. Say hello if you missed us 😘

Whether you're gay, two-spirit, intersex, out of the closet or not, we're glad you're here.

Sex ed made coming out a loving experience, not a dreadful one 🥰

Knowing I was safe to be myself at home and school, that my identity was understood, that my feelings were valid and it was okay to ask questions—that changed my life🌈

Thinx and @periodmovement.bsky.social's 2025 State of the Period shows that when young people don't get answers about their sexual health in classrooms, they get them from less reliable sources 🤖 AI isn't a substitute for real teachers.

Abstinence-only is leaving young people in the dark about their bodies. Menstrual health is one of the largest gaps in sex ed with only 4 states requiring instruction on it beyond puberty lessons 🩸

Celebrating #InternationalLesbianDay, SIECUS reaffirms that building understanding and communication skills allows us to lead fulfilling relationships and pursue healthy pleasure🧡🤍🩷
siecus.bsky.social
Abstinence-only has some pretty weird ideas about women and pleasure. Reducing sex to a means to an end for reproduction ignores people with fertility struggles, the emotional and recreational aspects of intimacy, and relationships between same-sex partners.

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in a landmark case, Chiles v. Salazar, concerning Colorado’s state law protecting LGBTQ youth from so-called “conversion therapy." Learn more about the case: glaad.org/fact-sheet-l...
“I want to tell [queer and trans kids] there’s nothing wrong with who they are, conversion therapy is a lie, and they deserve to live a life authentically. Your identity is beautiful, you’re a miracle, and don’t let conversion therapy take that away.” Civil Rights Attorney Ryan Kendall

Our sexual wellbeing is too important to be guided by info (and misinfo) through the grapevine.

💡 This #LetsTalkMonth, let's support our students and children through healthy conversations about consent, relationships, and understanding our bodies.

Quality sex ed keeps us all safe. Pregnancy shouldn't be the start of conversations about your options or knowing you have a choice at all. You deserve to be informed long before so you're prepared to make the best decision for you.

September 28th was #SafeAbortionDay. As states tear away our access to reproductive care, SIECUS reaffirms that the choice to have children or not belongs in our hands.

Happy #WorldContraceptionDay! At a time where fearmongering about birth control is at an all time high, let's remember there are endless reasons someone may need access to contraception.

🧡 Birth control is safe, effective and our right!
Digital illustration of the faces of six people who use birth control. There are various reasons including 'managing illness, bleeding on your own terms, regulating menstrual cycles and preventing pregnancy. There's big text that reads, 'we must fight to protect our right to birth control.'

Sex ed for all means everyone has access to quality and inclusive information about their bodies, their sexual and reproductive health, and their safety and options. Florida's 2025 legislative session was a roapmap for fighting back against attacks on sex ed and LGBTQ+ youth.

Binary conversations about sexuality create an atmosphere of fear and silence, putting bisexual people in harm’s way. Quality sex ed drives understanding and action because it's not acceptable to erase anyone. Happy #BiVisibilityDay 🩷💜💙
