a counterargument i could make against myself would be that games are collaborative projects w/ so many different voices going into it it's ok if the studio that owns the IP sucks ass bcuz you still got that really great experience made by that collective.

sadly if you say this to any higher-up career games/comics dude they'll respond with "we hire the most qualified!" as if there aren't tons of POC and women who ARE qualified they just been given the same benefit of the doubt or time to develop their in-industry ballgame the way a lot of men have

I think what comics (&video game) industry men don't really understand is that it's not good enough to be a nice guy in professional settings. it's not good enough if there's one or two women at the dir level. it HAS to be an initiative, &there has to be ACTIVE drive to bring women into the ranks.

yeah that's my theory. even as watching I was thinking about ways her scenes could be more powerful and tie in with the overall themes of the episodes and she just sort of falls flat. it kinda feels like they werent sure what to do with her at certain points. lots of potential left on the table IMO
