That would suggest that the Scottish NHS was actually failing, but it's easy to get stats that support an opinion when you want to find them. But, anyway, I don't care for oneupmanship, I like Scotland & Scottish people & as an Englishman, I believe the year 1707 was a good year for both countries.

I don't know if they're better performing, I myself worked in the NHS for many years. But Scotland certainly has more money to spend purely because of the Barnet Formula. As for stats, there's loads out there. For instance, life expectancy is nearly 2 years longer in England than it is in Scotland..

As an Englishman - though of mixed British & Irish heritage - I'd like Scotland to stay, but respect if you go.

I read their manifesto. A hard border, unfortunately, but inevitably would have to be the conclusion of any future British (English?) Government. Shame, I like the Scots (I'm part Scottish, & Irish & Welsh for that matter) & would love us to stay together.

As for the meme, I know. But also England, N Ireland, Scotland & Wales (but not the Isle of Man) are all part of the UK. NI though is not GB.

Politically, I'm a non-aligned moderate. So, putting the independence issue to one side, I certainly wouldn't vote for an SNP style party down here.
