BBC journalist/presenter on high wages on #wato is another example of spreading misinformation about the Nobel Peace prize awarded this year. The prize was awarded for last year and Trump could not be considered as there was no peace plan in 2024. Dismal reporting.

Trump could not be considered for the 2025 Prize....as this announcement is the award for 2024. There was no ceasefire plan then. All info is online as to why and how the process works.

Those who nominated him did so when the deadline was past so he shouldn’t be considered. He may have to wait until next year if he fits the conditions for that award. News channels should check on these details instead of going on and on and on about it #C4news

All news channels would know that as well if they bothered to look instead of reporting that he wants it and so his tantrums should be rewarded. Not even sure he fits the conditions to get the Peace prize.

Because Nobel specified in his will the Norwegian govt… Storting…should establish the committee to award the Peace prize. His reasons are not clear but could be as Norway is seen as a peaceful nation. Info online.

I also understand that to be considered for the Peace Prize the nominations for Trump were submitted past the deadline at the end of January so they won’t be admitted. Someone can check on that but the info is online.
