Spending Saturday night at St. Paul’s Church Holiday Jingle Bazaar, meeting local makers, picking up festive finds, and soaking in the community spirit. Huge thanks to the organizers and volunteers for a cheerful start to the season!

Congratulations to the Oakville Art Society on 60 years of creativity and to the Oakville Museum on this beautiful collaboration. And many thanks to the artists, volunteers, staff that contributed to display. I encourage everyone to visit, bring a friend, and experience β€˜Connections’ for yourself.
Arts in Oakville strengthens our local economy, supports small businesses, welcomes visitors, and gives people a sense of home. When we invest in culture, we invest in well-being, youth, and community pride.
Pairing the original works by Oakville Art Society members with historic garments and textile pieces, this show invites us to look twice at how intricately art, memory and identity are woven together.
This weekend, I had the pleasure of joining the Oakville Art Society’s exciting collaborative exhibition β€˜Connections’ at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community & Cultural Centre, alongside Mayor Rob Burton, to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

The previous year witnessed unprecedented advancements, and this year's drive prevails.

Canadians expect safe communities and straight answers.

This is a system that is continuously evolving and necessitates meticulous case management & coordination among agencies. Transparency, public safety, and consistent advancement are of the highest priority.
I resumed my inquiry to the Minister regarding removals & officials confirmed the fundamental points:

removal work is currently underway throughout the nation, files are actively managed from start to finish, and decisions are made in compliance with Canada's legal framework & due-process.
Security & Safety:

Wrapping up SECU (Standing Committee on Public Safety and Security) on the Hill this week, I pressed for respectful, orderly proceedings that allowed witnesses to complete their responses. Canadians deserve clarity, not interruptions.

As your MP, I’m committed to advancing measures that put victims and community safety first while upholding our Charter rights. A strong Canada means strong defenses for our neighborhoods and a Criminal Code that adapts to new threats, helps the victims of crime, and keeps our children safe.
The goal is clear:
βœ”οΈReduce repeat violent crime.
βœ”οΈProtect Canadians and keep our communities safe.
βœ”οΈRestore confidence in the justice system
On Oct. 23, Govt of Canada introduced Bail and Sentencing Reform Act, following extensive consultations. It is designed to strengthen public safety by making bail laws stricter and sentencing laws tougher for serious and repeat offenses, while maintaining due process and Charter protections.
Earlier today, I met with the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Hon. @seanfraser.bsky.social to discuss community safety in our riding and the forthcoming Bail and Sentencing Reform Act.

Wishing everyone in Oakville West and across the world a #Diwali filled with endless light, peace, and happiness. May this festival of lights bring prosperity, health, and good fortune.

✨ Happy Diwali! ✨

Known as Festival of Lights, Diwali is celebrated over the span of 5 days and stands to be the symbol of the victory of good over evil, and light over darkness. As families come together in celebration to light diyas and exchange gifts, let’s all spread joy, warmth, and positivity
We explored the different levels of government here in Canada, discussed ideas on how to improve our region, and of course, we all had a great time!

I look forward to welcoming the teams again next month as we take our Youth Council on the road.
This week, we launched the inaugural #YouthCouncil of #OakvilleWest with pizza, politics & ideas.

It was amazing to meet so many young people from right across the riding with a passion for making our community better.

Thank you to everyone who organised these amazing events and thank you for spending your Saturday with me.
#OakvilleWest is made special by its people.

From the Bronte Coat Drive organised by the amazing and tireless volunteers at St Dominic Parish, Walton United Church and Church of the Epiphany through to the vibrant festivities at the Hindu Canadian Foundation’s Deepawali Mahotsav.
#OakvilleWest remains a centre of excellence for bringing forward both the ideas and means to #BuildCanada, thank you to all those who attended.
Earlier this week I was proud to host entrepreneurs, innovators and engineers from across the industry. From steel structures, to construction, electrical engineering and more as we discussed how to #BuildCanadaHomes with @gregorrobertson.bsky.social Canada’s Minister for Housing.
Canada’s government is taking an unprecedented approach to tacking the housing crisis. I joined @gregorrobertson.bsky.social to discuss how #BuildCanadaHomes will ensure more supply, less red tape and effective public-private partnerships so we can build affordable housing at scale.
As we work to build Canada Strong building Canadian homes is a large part of that mission and I thank the minister for visiting and reaffirming our shared commitment to building affordable and supportive housing infrastructure.

This assisted, supportive housing building for seniors is backed by $9.3 million in federal funding through CMHC’s Rapid Housing Initiative. This project is already transforming lives in our community.
