The ITU delegation pushed for a clause on equitable access to digital infrastructure and tools for workers—a crucial step for inclusive AI governance. Unfortunately, the proposal was not adopted, with UK, Meta, and Japan opposing.
Delegations are currently in closed-door plenary sessions, and things are progressing well. Mexico told us they successfully added an amendment on Establishing AI Testing Hubs, a key goal they set for the negotiations.

There's also a debate over language – the US prefers "discrimination" over the potentially broader term "bias." These discussions are crucial as we strive for AI that's fair and works for everyone.
