idk if you've ever had a boa around you but my brother had like 3 6-foot long red tailed boas growing up and them wrapping around my arms was actually quite soothing, lmao. it was like a tight hug. also the soft scales are so nice sensory wise. snakes are underrated

The months/weeks leading up to making this decision have been some of the loneliest of my life, especially since most of the pushback has been from my mom & brother encouraging me to put it off. It's pretty deranged to wish that I risk getting cancer than risk regretting not having kids, lmao

Anyways, I'll be MIA for a while; I've been told that the first week or so you're mostly just extremely tired. I've been getting back into the swing of writing and creating shizz, and hopefully I'll have some energy to write from bed, because writing brings me so much joy.

To be clear, I feel this procedure (and gender affirmation care in general) should be available and accessible to everyone. But I guess I'd just be celebrating more if I was doing this for gender affirmation rather than to prevent cancer. I dunno if that makes sense, I hope it does.

This thread will be for the pages of my nearly-completed comic "Mutineers", which I am sharing ENTIRELY FOR FREE because fuck capitalism.

the cover of the comic features zephyr (darker skin and hair), embracing wallace, their boyfriend, the older guy with glasses and facial hair. down below they're seen in a station wagon 1999 ford focus driving towards Pittsfield in the berkshires of massachusetts which is all originally the lands of the pocumtuc indigenous people before it was colonized

wallace and zephyr are driving down the highway in their friends' borrowed car. listening to zephyr's cd collection, they accidentally confuse Pittsfield with Pittsburgh.

Zephyr is flipping through some of the CDs they have, picking out Throwing Muses but then becomes concerned that Wallace hasn't gotten to pick any music. He admits that he doesn't have a preference or any memory of what music he used to like.
