What would my life have been like if I'd slept more? 

I would have been awake less. Had less time to write and, ironically, dream. But maybe I sleep enough. 

I love the experience of going to bed with a dilemma or a half formed thought and waking up with a solution, clear as morning light.

After launching my new course, I felt an overwhelming urge to clean. To create order from chaos.

There's something satisfying about putting everything back where it belongs. About disposing of the broken and unused. About knowing exactly where that tube of cerulean blue went to hide.

Why do you want to make #art? What's in it for you? How will you feel if you are creatively productive? Do you care more about the product of your #creativity or the process? Do you want to have a nice picture to hang on your wall, or do you want to have the feeling that comes from being #creative?

Making #art literally sacrificed my sanity and gave my life purpose.

Many of us describe it not as a choice but as a necessity - something we must do to feel fully alive and engaged with the world.

This is the key why for all of us. We make because we must. And we are #artists because we do.
