The people geeking out about my MFA diploma (in Diploma Forgery) dissecting it for the little tongue-in-cheek jokes makes me happy.
Yet no one has commented about where the University is supposedly located, strangely...

I've been using the phrase, "Open roads, kind fires" lately as a parting to coworkers because: I'm a nerd, and I like the saying from the October Daye series. But I encountered another phrase by the author in a different series I need to lift.
"My gods above, below, and slightly to the side..."

TIL that Tylenol, Band-Aids, and other consumer health products that used to be made by Johnson & Johnson are no longer J&J products. The company spun off their consumer health division in 2022 as a stand-alone company, Kenvue.

It's bad luck to dine in a party of 13: superstition says that the first person in such a party to get up will suffer grave misfortune. The Savoy in London has a special service for such parties: Kaspar the cat. The black cat statue is placed at the table of such parties, bringing the party to 14.
