You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.

Let's talk about the fact that if 26 Democratic senators are choosing transphobia and capitulation then the local officials are likely doing the same in large numbers. It's not 26 senators versus 20k pure warriors. It's still an accurate characterization that the party isn't meeting the moment.

#Foreversave Bob Pancakes dropped dead (Heat or Anger, I haven't figured out which yet) while Clara was renovating his house. So I had Eliza sell everything except the stuff in his room and basement and move out and then added cobwebs and dirt and Bob is haunting his old house. She left his urn 🙃.
