Been experiencing achy eyes since the summer, when I started anxiety meds.
I have to take my glasses off to relieve the ache, but that does not make my screen more in focus (to the contrary it's always blurrier).

Coincidence or correlation? Sigh.

Huntingdon - This comment from Simon Calder is worth repeating.

My thoughts with all involved

The crew have to make the driver aware, the driver confirm a plan with the signallers, we know the emergency response was being organised too...

The time lost is almost all braking (first to transfer to the slow line, then stop at the station).

Astounding work that almost certainly saved lives.

Whatever else comes out once the attack on the ECML train last night, this alone is a credit to the train crew, driver, and signalling team.

Huntingdon was the first possible stop. In a highly stressful situation and improvising a plan the train lost just 3 minutes vs line speed to get there.
No "advice", just solidarity ♥️
OMG 😲
@remembrancewatch.bsky.social this is from a local Facebook group, I sent this to you on Twitter a few years ago and this is the first time they've done it since.
I thought it didn't start until December?

I have read that some people with long-haired dogs spin their fur into yarn 🤔
Amazing!!

Plus, if it's not *too* tangled, it can be wound up during naptime/after bed for reusable giggly fun 🧶

Today is Reformation Day in parts of 🇩🇪.

In 1517 theologian Martin Luther is said to have nailed his theses to the doors of Wittenberg Church. This is considered the start of Protestantism.

The 500th anniversary of Reformation in 2017 was marked with a Playmobil figure of Luther.

Oh no! Feel better soon.

Hubby uses marmite as a sort of veggy Bovril drink, but I don't think it'd go with coffee at all...

All that I ask is that the culture secretary not ask questions which reveal she couldn’t tell you who *this year*’s Bafta shortlistees and winners were.
Hi Lisa Nandy! I’m a BAFTA winner from a small town. Instead of asinine questions like this, why not tell us how we can continue to make a living in the eviscerated creative sector over which you notionally preside?

The mystery of “what culture is she interested in?”. She did not go to a single Prom. She has no interest in who actually wins Baftas. She is not interested in the Mercury Prize.
The last Mercury Prize went to a lad from North Shields, you'd think she'd be all over that but nope, zero interest
