Running final playtests on SteelFront makes me wish we'd set it up to let me take control of units and jump into battle myself.

One of the basics I'm trying to square away is detailed textures on big objects (as opposed to generic tiled ones) while getting consistent resolution.

Simple enough to just disable filtering and go for a crunchy low-res look, which I like, but don't want to use as a crutch.

Sometimes I feel lost in a world torn asunder, but then I see "[slur]slayer1488✝️🇺🇸🇷🇺" and "GurlBallzNSFW✊🏿BLM⚧️🇵🇸🔞" both like my silly mech mod or w/e and I think, perhaps I'm helping bring it back together in some small way. As long as I don't have to actively engage with it.

Are there megastructures in the Zone? When I think "megastructure", I picture "unfathomably massive", like the setting of Blame. The CNPP meanwhile is quite fathomable, even if unfathomable phenomena are happening around it.

A toss-up for me.

Prolly leaning more toward Kenshi since I enjoy it as an actual game, whereas Ravenfield has kinda transcended into more of a tool.

For rearming the 30mms, the ammo drums are too big to carry, so I gotta have a sequence where you drive through enemy fire in a little forklift / ammo tug of some kind

Some remaining roughness around the edges (see: Audio mixing, unit pathfinding, some of the camera controls), but despite this being a "disposable" project to help us get our footing, I think folks are gonna like it!
