non-interventionism is bad and i wish tisza was liberal are statements worthy of a 'yeah' in passing conversation, not really something that would garner standing ovations and oratory praise, not that this is what he's going for tbf

Any reason why slazac is churning out lukewarm nothingburger soundbite tweets or have i just missed them becoming less than a full sentence long

Maybe I'm falling for the skill of his oration in that speech but he really does appear to be pleading with the party with a level of passion that you don't see in politics anymore - at least not within the British Labour Party

I've gone on a mini-deep dive into Neil Kinnock after seeing the latter half of his 1985 conference speech and it really is quite interesting to see how his genuine impassioned pleas for the next generation to receive the benefits and chances Labour gave his youth became adopted by New Labour

On a generational run and you can tell because they're already calling him a Communist and Zia Yusuf is importing generic American talking points against him on QT

If @zackpolanski.bsky.social was a member of the Labour Party it'd be so over for Kier Starmer and I'm not even joking

The Left bloc in the Assemblée Nationale bent over backwards to present a PM candidate that Macron could pinch his nose to and appoint, but he refused! This was last year though, so not really a fresh idea

I think the real problem with French politics is that the Centre thinks that they have no need or no want to compromise or work with the Left to keep the far Right at bay.

Instead the Left is expected to do all the compromising, and smugly chastised when they ask for the Centre to do the same.

If Charles Manson happened today he'd probably have a prime time slot on Fox News or at least 200k followers and a position in the Trump administration

Even funnier is that his Labor opponent (Gillard) is Welsh and ginger so it's like watching an AU genderswap of the 1987 UK election

The great irony is that he was born in London and made complaining about immigrants a big part of his PM pitch

I don't think the UK Left knows to hate Tony Abbott enough because despite being the modern origin of 'Stop the Boats' bullshit, he's too far away (Australian) to seem relevant

I'm tempted to listen to Ethel Cain but the vague memory of Twitter discourse involving her is holding me back

The latter is just the way Zohran is doing things. Probably worth noting

Yes they were previously very supportive of Israel irrespective of ground conditions but I think seeing more people enter the tent and keeping them there is more important now than asking why they weren't in the tent before now

Late to the party but I feel very vindicated that Die Linke would be the first big party in Germany to openly show support for Palestine

Personally if Taylor Swift is the reason critics become critical again I can only be thankful

Well. That and the fact that (iirc) Jevil knows about the Knight and his fight has the motif. And that Black Knife sounds vaguely similar to The World Revolving
somenuggett.bsky.social
This is my only evidence unfortunately

Listening to Air Waves (from the #Deltarune soundtrack) is making me think that the freedom motif might actually be Dess' motif

Big tell when you (the Right) say Gavin Newsom is inciting violence against Stephen Miller for calling him a fascist. If only I knew someone (Stephen Miller) who called people fascist regularly.

I bet this has no implications whatsoever.
