This mostly worked for me. Tonatiuh steals the show, with Lopez and Luna close behind. The trio easily sells the beautiful fantasy and heartbreaking reality. Bill Condon's technicolor treatment is superb, but direction had some clear gaps...

Still collecting my thoughts. I don't feel the movie sticks the landing. A wildly unnecessary epilogue clouds an otherwise "interesting" ending beat in this morality/ethics drama that goes in many directions but never really lingers.
