One part of it turns out to be fairly easy — the density of states calculation — but the result is a little unusual. It’s an artifact of choosing the 2-dimensional case, which is actually not that strange or artificial.

In getting to the result for part "C", the number of particles, you will need to convert a sum to an integral. The integral cannot be evaluated analytically, but a power series expansion can be used.

It is helpful to set the ground state energy to E(0)=0.
