But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15 King James Bible App. Inspiration: Always have the Lord's name ready to tell others your reasons for hope. Always. However, it is important to remember what the Bible tells us in James 4:10 : "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. " Do not use the Lord's name with arrogance or aggression. Be meek and gentle when using his name, as the Lord did when he sent Jesus Christ to earth. Prayer: Heavenly Father, I have turned my back on you many times. I forget my reason for living and sometimes claim other secular things are my true calling. It is wrong of me; forgive me for these sins, merciful God! You shall be my only answer when people ask my reason for being, for being hopeful, for loving. I pray this in accordance with what you have taught me Lord, my strength and hope in all things. Amen.

Evil and sorrow fill the world, and we remain alert for opportunities to lift one another out of miry pits of despair. We rely on the Holy Spirit for discernment when speaking to one another. People do not wear spiritual wounds on the outside, so we rely on Him to direct us in our words and actions. Our faith allows us to show God's love to those who struggle with sorrow or depression. Prayer: Dear Lord, We call upon Your Spirit to help us recognize opportunities to show Your love to others when they are struggling. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

How powerful is your love if you TRULY use all of your heart and strength? More powerful than can be imagined. If you love the Lord with all your heart and strength, the second commandment will happen naturally. Prayer: O Lord my God! I wish to shout my love for you from the highest mountains! Help me to worship you and rejoice our love in every moment that I am alive! My life will be a light on top of a mountain, showing others the way. I pray all of this for your majestic glory! Amen.

I distributed all 150 copies of Megan's "How to Report ICE Philly edition" at Philly Zine Fest yesterday and at least 5 people returned to ask me if it was OK for them to print their own copies to distribute. I responded with an enthusiastic YES - that's the point and I hope everyone does so.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35 King James Bible App. Inspiration: Wow, this is a difficult command to live up to! He asks the disciples to love one another as he loved them. We should love one another as Jesus loves us. This is a task that we will never be able to complete, but it is a lofty goal that we MUST aspire to. If we keep this in our hearts and minds, the love we share will be tremendous and inspire others to live the same. We must try! Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am constantly amazed that you believe in me after failing to love other people as you have commanded. Jesus taught me how to treat others, and I ask that you strengthen my understanding and compassion, my willingness and action, and fortify them all with love. I know that I do not deserve it Lord, but I pray today to commit to serving you as you see fit. I pray this with love in my heart for you. Amen.
